Rapinoe and Heath (my 2 favs) were uncharacteristically "off". Still far superior to Morgan who is routinely overrated and even worse yesterday than usual. Ertz had a really solid game, minus the missed shot, Dunn and Mewis looked good too.
The goal they let up was a dumb mistake, doubt they'll make that mistake again. Biggest issue was Rapinoe and Heath who usually carry this team offensively, whose cylinders just weren't clicking like they usually do.
Oh and that Ellis sucks...

Of course they'll make that dumb mistake again, because they've made it before (remember, ball ended up in the net but goal was disallowed).

It's not really Morgan who's overrated. She's okay. It's the USWNT that's overrated. These European teams have caught up and are younger, so our best players are aging out as their best players are rising in form. We can't rely on luck or VAR to beat France. We will struggle in that game against a team that can both defend and score.

Lloyd and Horan must play, both are better and tougher than Lavelle and Morgan, France will try to do the same to US, push and pull the whole game....

This narrative is flawed. Spain were not overly physical. Morgan fell every time the CB got close to her. 18-4 foul count is more a reflection on the referee than anything else. Lets just accept the fact that the US are nowhere near as good as the narrative would have you believe and that there are teams out there who are no longer intimidated by the USA.

the USA used to be faster, stronger and better conditioned than everyone else. No longer the case.

we need to stop whining and relying on "calls" and build teams capable of playing a more varied style .

Women's soccer has regressed in this country last 10 years. Numbers declining rapidly, costs spiralling out of control, killed clubs with age group changes, multiple and watered-down leagues. Well done US Soccer.
