2) Thailand often beats teams by a wide margin. They do not hold back making goals.
3) This isn’t kiddie soccer where you try not to run up the score against the other team so you don’t embarrass them.
4) The US is there to win a World Cup, not make friends.
5) The US doesn’t get to pick their opponents, but as the defending champs and highest ranked team they normally would earn an easier group.
6) If they only beat Thailand everyone would question whether the US is a good team. The performance they put on today puts that to bed.
Go USA!!!!

Thailand beat Australia twice last year to win the regional AFF cup.
As for running up the score, Thailand beat Cambodia 11-0 in the same tournament.
Don’t cry for Thailand...a very good Asian team lost to a great US team. No shame in that.

No issue with the score it doesn’t mean anything positive or negative. The giddiness of the players after scoring the late goals was odd however.

I heard about the game but just sat down and watched it. I was expecting to be outraged, but I'm not.
I thought after Morgan's 4th the dance on the sideline was a bit much, as was Rapino's (great run and finish though in a blowout). But, otherwise, I was kinda' "meh" about it.
As for the score, again, I was thinking it was a lot but the problem is by playing Thailand in the first game, they were setting the bar. Say they hold off at 7 and draw with Sweden, then likely Sweden knows they may need 8 to win the group. They needed to put it as far out of reach as possible.
After the match, I thought they showed great respect to the Thai.

It looked as though the U.S. was playing a team of 10 year olds. I couldnt get past the first half, before turning it off. That game was not a displayof the skill of the U.S. team, rather a
sad reminder that there is lack of true competition in the women's world cup.

One thing to hug your teammates after the goal another to run away and celebrate by yourself to draw even more attension on you.
