    Why no Hispanic players?

We need to let go of the possession dream and start playing direct ball to fast forwards. It’s who we are and what we do best.
Why do we reinvent the wheel? Too many foreign coaches whispering sweet nothings at club level? Will it jeopardize their jobs?
Our teams in both sexes have no identity
    The failure is at u11

Maybe even younger than that. As soon as they're 5 we sign them up for a rec team with a parent coach, who means well but doesn't really know the game or how to teach it. By 8 they "have" to be in travel, again with poor coaching, then into a crap shoot of premier by U11 or U12. There's also very little free play in the US at all ages vs elsewhere. It's like if we're not paying for it then it isn't of value.

Really?! That works with low level DA or ECNL but not with any team that can defend.

No thank you. I'd much rather knock a ball around all day then chase after it. Run track if that's what you want.

Speaking of track - Usain Bolt is trying out for an Australian soccer club. Says it's always been his dream to play professionally. It will probably be link when Michael Jordan played baseball.

              BS.
Leicester City won EPL with that approach.
It is only the 6 or so teams that buy every defender in the world that can defend that approach.
Average defenders, who constitute the entire US program, are loath to face a high pressure, fast paced, direct style of play. Why is that so difficult to understand?
Nobody is advocating booting the ball out of the back, but this sideways, breakdown the d, pass over attack approach might be pretty, but it makes defending easy.
Give me a couple of fast, INTELLIGENT forwards who know how to move into space and constantly move and the midfielders to put the ball into that space and I will break down your staunch defenders everyday.
Please don’t confuse direct play with 2 forwards standing in a line waiting for the ball over the top. That is ignorant.
              2 passes and go forward.
We are not in the Champions League.

LOL Leicester. 1,000-1 odds and in any other year, that point total doesn't even make the CL. Trash before, trash after. Catch lightning in a bottle once and now everyone holds them up as the bump and run standard....

                Leicester........

Leicester, Mass became a sister city due to England club success. More folks followed that year than in any other when the favorites win. Even fake evening news reported
                          Care to share?
Nobody other than City fans give a rats ass if they win...maybe Lebron, since he likes to buy his way to the top as well.

Lmao...... The reason we are where we are is the influence of the English long ball. The possession game has only been embraced the last 10 years or so. Why do you think the English has such a poor showing at WC until this year.
