Seriously, an entire thread dedicated to the blue team vs. the white team in the SAME club? Desparate isn't a cologne worn well.

These are all good players and no one doubts AS is special. Seems like some good soccer was played.
Good players can get shut down. Truly great players would
not in a game vs an Avg ecnl team

Hold the phone! I thought the press release suggested there would be no such thing.

TS perfectly encapsulated in a single post.

Great. Not like we didn't waste 143 pages on TS over the whole East v West thing last year. Are you gonna now say you were misled over which team is which? Can't wait for that one.

Thread likely started by a Stars White parent or an NEFC DA parent.
              Both have same inferiority complex.

Blue team has like 5 D1 commits up top and can't score against an 04 team.

If that is not bad coaching I don't know what is!

And here's is evidence that it's actually a Stars Blue parent that wants JD to pay attention. You have "5 D1 commits up top". What's to complain about?

                      It’s not debatable, sorry mom.

So the goals in the other games are because of the coach? What are you talking about.

Not putting the right combinations out there and just dumping kids on the back line. You need speed back there to outrun/keep up with the opponent's attackers and foot skills to get the ball up the field.

The coach doesn't seem to get it. Kids aren't responsible for the line ups and subs.

Did they give up a ton of goals? Wasn't it 0-0? With a very good NT striker on the other side? That's what happens when good teams play each other. This isn't exactly news, but JD doesn't really do anything different to try and win games. Usually puts best 11 out first, subs come in with 15-20 mins left in the half. Subs start second half, starters come in with 20-25 mins left. We had JD for 5 years. It never changed. To be honest it drove us crazy, because we lost some we could have won, but he never changes it up.

I thought it was talking about his coaching style in general.

Sometimes starters don't work hard because they are starters and subs can earn a starter position; or both can earn no playing time at all sometimes based on lack of performance, etc. And when subs come in, sometimes he switches kids in positions on the field which can be disruptive as well. Every opponent is different and should be coached accordingly.

As far as the game itself, so what if a team had 1 "very good NT striker" that means she would be double or tripled teamed. Knowing this, the others need to come alive and recognize it. Some teams have more than 1 NT on them; what will they do then, head for the locker rooms?
