I think Bandon can take Seaside.

Good one. Sherwood won't even finish in the top two of their league!

Westview is stacked with talent and a great 9th grade class. They will be tough to contend with this year.

The 9th grade class at any school are just position fillers, they contribute very little. Westview doesn't have any more talent than half of the other Metro league schools. We will soon see.

At most schools I would agree. But last year against Westview in the semi's Sunset had at one time 7 freshmen players in the game, including the player that scored the game winner. Our group this year is very strong and complimented with a strong senior class, Westview will go deep in the playoffs again.

What a stupid comment. 9th grade? Really? Go to bed mom. Your freshman won't contribute much this year.

You sound like a typical C class high school coach. An over focus on size and physical development because you don't have a clue about the game. There are dozens of U16 teams all over the country that could destroy the Oregon state high school champions. But a lack of understanding of how to play the game, a limited approach much beyond boot ball, and coaching inexperience leads many high school soccer coach wannabes to assume they can only leverage a player when they are juniors and seniors. This is why the top clubs in the state are so frustrated with high school soccer. They have to spend three months after high school season fixing problems these high school coaches create. We're two or three years away from a scenario where the top players no longer play high school. Can't come fast enough to leave the coaching to professionals and not a bureaucratic local government assigned incompetent coach.

While this may be the case at many schools it is not the case in every 6A school where many of the club coaches prowl the sidelines and 6+ club players form the core of many many many teams.

You will see possession soccer played at a number of schools and until the "Split" is healed you will not see a club system capable of replacing the school season because the social aspect is too important to 99% of our players!
