I like the European model - that is, the woman's teams are put forth by financially established clubs on the men's side. England, Spain, Germany, Italy - most of the big clubs in these countries have launched women's programming. All teams (men and women) wear the same jersey, they run youth academies and are identified under one easily identifiable brand.

In the US we have women's teams operating under their own brand, and it takes time to develop it, and achieve financial viability. Wouldn't Orlando City be better off branding both teams under one name? Off the top, the marketing costs would decrease and the Orlando City brand would represent men's and women's soccer uniformly in the community. Same for NYRB and Sky Blue - Sky Blue plays in Red Bull Arena and even trains at the Red Bull Training center in NJ.

Red Bull and Sky Blue merger rumors have been floating around for some time. If Red Bulls acquire Sky Blue, and name change would be in order. Hard to see Red Bull running a team called Sky Blue when their biggest rival NYCFC sports those colors.

A nice idea but most of the MLS clubs don't make nearly the same money as European clubs do. Having a strong soccer culture abroad has also helped the women's teams there. We can barely generate interest in men's soccer here, let alone women's teams (the exception being the NT every few years).

Consolidating all soccer assets under one brand, Orlando City FC, would save the club money.

Very good training, especially helpful in the winter when most clubs scale back due to high indoor rental costs. But that's all. The ID stuff etc is nonsense

And why does his program bother you? Don’t do it if you don’t like it. Most parents who participate speak very highly of the program and the coaches. Sounds like your just bitter.

If it's good training then how is it a grab if you get what you pay for? Every few months someone keeps going after him with an obvious grudge. Families can try a session and see what they think. It's only a several week commitment at a time. Lower risk than signing a year long club contract. Just ask yourself why you think your kid needs it. Is their club not giving them what you want? Can your kid just never get enough? So they want to work at making a higher team? Don't do it just because.

Not the one going after him, but it doesn’t make it any less than a money grab.

That doesn’t make sense. It can absolutely be both.
