If (D2 and D3) ID events don’t take place on campus, they can take place off campus if local restrictions allow).
D1 coaches say that they will wait it out, but if there is someone they want, they won't wait until showcases to start to see them again. Hence the fact that there are 2022's that have committed since the 6/15 recruiting start date. Players shouldn't be surprised if schools have moved on to the next person on their list if the player wants to wait it out.

No doubt, the best of the best committed early, as per usual. The rest have some time, no alarm bells should be ringing yet.

If your a 2022 and aren’t committed yet you should really take a look at your list and start to get a back up plan.

Don't forget the NCAA is trying to have a spring season so D1 coaches probably wouldn't have much time until May. If PDA happens it could the first event of the "season" such as it is.

Clubs need to step it up with helping kids too. It is a big reason why they're getting paid after all. Make sure they do as many games and scrimmages* to keep players fit and skills up, as well as to get game footage.

            * don't be afraid to play local teams. Inter state competition could be limited for awhile. Is it about your ego or providing kids with opportunities to play?

Not many 22s will be set other than the studs/early radar kids. They weren't seen all spring and summer. As long as a spring season happens, there can be a few showcases and especially ID events this summer they "should" be ok. But it will be tight (stay healthy!) and targeting the right programs will be more important than ever. There won't be time to readjust your targeting if you weren't aiming right

Right.... the delusional parent is in for a state of shell shock if they thought their kid was a superstar and they are not.

Happens often - families overshoot on the soccer and often times academics. Both should have a mix of safeties, solid chances and reaches.

so the uncommitted 2021 are boxed out now correct? unless they can walk on somewhere? big conferences already doled out scholarships/roster spots and extra year of eligibility for current roster players so unless you can walk on and be willing to ride bench not much of shot

It seems like there are a lot of uncommitted '21's in CT, no?

Yep, now all they have to do is be able to beat 5th and 6th year seniors that are 23 and 24 years old with 5 or 6 years of NCAA experience. Piece of cake. Classes of '21, '22, and possibly even '23 as well are screwed.

It's going to snowball for the next 2-4 years .... classes of 21 and 22 can pg and come back next year or the year after. This may never end!

By the class of 23s it will have dissipated but still be present to some extent

Just because you’re a walk on doesn’t mean that you ride the bench. College soccer is dog eat dog every training session (especially so at the D1 Level). Coaches don’t play around, if you can play, then you play. Just because you receive no scholarship money in year one, doesn’t mean you can’t earn it. Happens more than you’d think.

Yes on the CFC and FSA teams
