How’s the season shaking out? Any teams to watch out for? Is St Johns the team to beat this year?

Was looking at records of D1 teams. I’m amazed at the high scores and the amount of ties. I guess d1 teams don’t play defense this year. It Appears Marlborough is in extreme danger of not making playoffs and all the city schools look horrific.

Depends on who shows up.
Leominster on losing streak lately. Probably Westboro on one side.
SJ on the other.

A Leominster friend of mine told me it was 2-0 at the half. Regardless being up 2-0 and losing sucks.

Worcester City schools will be below average
Grafton, Tantasqua graduated top players
Like the other poster said NM and Fitchburg are not any factor
This year is an open year unlike the past 2-3 years
Predictions were pretty spot on !!

Yes poster’s top 3 above were spot on! And his 4-7 were all in the playoff mix. Poster’s bottom 3 (Marlboro, Nashoba, and Shepherd Hill) didn’t make playoffs. However two of the Worcester City schools who he predicted “will be below average” and Grafton and Tantasqua who he said “graduated top players” all did make playoffs (actual seeding below). But the bottom didn’t really matter as much because, yes, his top 3 were top 3. And maybe Shrewsbury lands at 4 for beating Wachusett to make it to semi-finals?
Bracket Notes:
1. Saint John's (14-1-3) 127.96
2. Algonquin (11-2-5) 115.20
3. Leominster (12-4-1) 110.54
4. Wachusett (10-4-4) 109.67
5. Shrewsbury (8-6-4) 98.41
6. Grafton (11-1-6) 96.60
7. Westborough (7-5-6) 96.26
8. Groton-Dunstable (10-6-2) 92.85
9. Tantasqua (13-5-0) 91.53
10. Worcester North (10-7-1) 88.25
11. Doherty (7-9-2) 72.74

Leominster got crushed by Longmeadow. Was expected as I think this was a down year for CMass teams. No team truly dominated in CMass.
STJ will probably be the team to beat next year as I know they are not losing pretty much anyone.
