cfc united posted the 07 girls team, 20 players only 18 can roster for games. when do they post the rosters for the older teams????

Did Oakwood 07s get stronger, weaker or stay the same? I assumed they would get stronger with players playing up last year being moved to own age?

So how many of the new CFC ecnl 20 came from arsenal? Is it 15 like the 2006 team? The try out numbers don't seem to be there anymore. That method of moving up a mediocre arsenal team is never going to work long term. CFC two youngest ecnl teams are going to be very weak.

In general I wonder what the premier numbers look like across the state. Numbers seem to be down everywhere. They may have watered down the product to the point that it seems pointless to a lot of parents now.

Don't ignore the fact that some families make the effort to get into arsenal earlier to improve their odds. The branch is also located in a soccer dense area. CFCU also has made changes to rosters a year in with other poor performing teams. Time will tell where it goes.

Parents at other branches know there’s no point of trying to get into United while the Fairfield county goes above and beyond to get their kids personal training and noticed. They should be playing against each other the year before United. 07 North regional is loaded with talent and lots of potential and is a far better team than arsenal, individual talent gets you nowhere, look at the 06’s. They need to change the way they grab players, perhaps hold a couple of week long tryout camps and identify not just talent but find those that have potential at developing soccer IQ. There is so much conflict of interest between CFCU and South/Arsenal, trying out is pointless.

Nope, all of the SPECIAL kids, simply moved on to other clubs. They are all goign to be in for a rude awakening (the clubs and kids and parents).

The best players on the North came down and will be on that team is what I heard. As someone else posted, some of the northern kids come from as far up as MA and don’t want to make the trip. The 07 North team is good, not great, but recent North teams before them have been weak. And I believe the two teams did play this year and it was a close game. If they have combined the best from both, they’ll have quite a team.

North got six players this year. That’s a pretty solid placement rate.
