I never used the word rampant in regard to crime. Statistically , for personal safety, CT is very safe. Safer than the vast majority of other states.

But now that companies are learning not everyone has to be in the office all the time, there may be more flexibility for people to spread out. When I moved here 20 years ago taxes in CT were much more favorable than to NY. They still are in some regards (property taxes in NY are astronomical compared to here), but not by much

Above is the top 25 most dangerous cities in the USA. A democrat mayor is in charge of spots #1 through #22, #24 and #25. How is this even statistically possible?
The brainwashed idiots will continue to vote these liars into office again and again.
But you can continue to hate TRUMP because cnn and cbs tell you to.
Liberals love kool-aid, tastes good sir, ...bow to your liberal slave master.

In addition, many Democratic run states could be considered “ soft on crime” , so your assertion is not particularly valid.
Expungement of crimes committed as a Juvenile have been around for decades, in many states around the country. In the past , it was commonly referred to as “ youthful offender” .
Otherwise, I am not in favor of the soft on crime actions here in CT. At least the call to “ defund the Police” has not gained any traction....yet.
