They're bitter. They (female soccer parents) have been told they were the best teams around by wining OYSA this last year, only to spend time and money to find out their dd's team is irrelevant and all that huff and puff was just some slight of hand.

It wasn't like they (overall) were competitive, most of the teams had it handed to them. I see posts about playing so cal blues, or whoever, tough, but these weren't even their ECNL teams. Think about that.

They must be thinking about it, that's why they are so bitter.

The FACT remains no matter who Oregon sends to Regionals on the Girls side of things, they have always and continue to come up well short of the prize.

You see, he paid thousands of dollars for a dog only to see that dog grow up to be poorly trained and ill mannered. Yes the resident teams of Washington have won Regional Tournaments many times on the Girls side.

Never has a girls team from Oregon have won a usys regionals in 30+ years.

Actually the OYSA state champs don't have to be told they are champions of the state. In fact, they are exactly that, no hyperbole, no promises, no slight of hand, no excuses. Just champions. Until some team of better quality from Oregon knocks them out next year in the USYS/OYSA state cup they are the reigning title holders.

Not much to be bitter about if you are a champion of the state, but always time to stay humble, improve and grow as individual and a team.

The local club teams that elected to play in regional ECNL division vs. competing in the USYS/OYSA State cup and regionals made their own choice and in this case: bed, now their problem is they must insert $100 bills in this bed to make it vibrate for just a minute. But the minimum length of a game is 90 minutes long. Expensive massage.

Ecnl doesn't start until u14. SoCal Blues is considered to be the top u13 team in the nation. Blues won Regionals last year and Surf Cup. You're right though, Oregon girls soccer is mostly irrelevant and many of the Oregon parents are dellusional about the full ride little Suzie is going to get to UCLA/Stanford because their 12 year old made Regional ODP camp and her team is tops in OYSA. On the other hand, let's give some credit & a pat on the back to Oregon players who hang in there with top SoCal teams. Most of these kids play soccer because they love it.

"It's better to waste both our money and time" getting rolled at jamborees all over hell and back vs wasting a little time and little money competing against the state champions FWRL champions from So. Cal/ Nor Cal, AZ, NM, Utah, WA, Colo., NV, ID, AK, HI, MT, WY.

It's a far better value to be cannon fodder all year than just 3 days.

We have a responsibility to let the country know how piss poor our local club teams (girls) are from Oregon. We back it up by investing thousands in marketing and promoting our stench, keep Oregon weird.

Not sure you're going to get many votes for MT, NV, AK or the likes of WY as soccer mecca's. It would appear you are referring to ECNL with your jabs, but I'm pretty sure even the 'bad' local ECNL teams have better winning percentages against much higher quality teams. Based on a few results of local ECNL teams and local OYSA club teams with common adversaries, the local ECNL teams are much better quality then the local club teams. Maybe that's because the train more, practice with and against better quality players and play better quality opponents all year, not just 3 days.
I don't see anything wrong with local teams taking their shot at greatness, and if they quantify that as being FWRL well, good for them. But it is what it is, and it wasn't pretty.

One of the top in California. Even after winning Surf they are 5th in points on Got soccer. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. (granted got soccer is crap).

So Cal Blues are not even clearly #1 in Region IV right now. A very good case can be made for Eagles instead. Don't go crowning them the best in the nation until after they've won Nationals next month.

Salmon Creek G00 wasn't in FW Regionals last year. They won the US Club NPL Finals.

True but without her goals Cfc would be 0-3 and driving home right now. Plenty of room on those coattails and enjoy it before she heads to ecnl.

Ok so she is the one & only bright spot in all of Oregon girls soccer. Everyone else may as well quit soccer because there are zero benefits from playing club sports unless you are personally one of the very best in the region/country. No team should ever travel to represent their state unless they are favored to make at least the semifinals. All teams who can't even win OYSA State Cup should disband immediately. If the State Cup winning teams are so dismal, the rest of the teams must be absolutely horrid. Everyone knows Oregon. girls soccer is well below many other states. That's why we get excited when our teams do half way decent vs good CA teams. So what? These are young girls playing a sport they love. Try to change it for the better or don't have your kids participate.
