Loser. 16 year-olds shouldn't be allowed to post on TS.

Meh. The coach picks someone new each year, as we get new freshmen MILFs.

Seriously, how does a freshmen ecnl player get the coachs attention? She's asked what she needs to do to get more minutes, but gets no direction, just to work hard at practice. Starting to think coach is not as qualified as I thought, but don't want to make it worse by calling him.

Call him and explain to him what ECNL is...that should do the trick.

play better than the girl/boy in front of you= ECNL is a badge on a jersey ,it doesn't mean you're good
thats what it should mean, and the coach should expect quality. when they don't get quality they laugh at all the $$$$ you wasted

^^^ this. Same with DA. The badges mean you made a team and your check cleared. Yes most top players are there. But the leagues also take plenty of players who aren't "top." Is your D a consistent starter and plays most 90 minutes in ECNL? If not, there's your answer. If she isn't breaking through in her age group she's going to have an even tougher time with kids 2-4 years older with more muscle mass and experience. Also depends on who is on the roster and how strong the program is. Plenty of frosh do not play in many programs

First, she should be clearly better than the kids in front of her (more technical, smarter, faster, bigger, more aggressive ....). If she isn't CLEARLY better in some or many of these respects (take your daddy glasses off here), then it doesnt matter. Even if she is better in all of those respects, sometimes it doesn't matter for freshmen. She is a freshmen. It's a short 4 years. Stop and smell the roses and don't get your panties in a bunch. She can go back to her superstardom when she gets back to ECNL in a month.

Chances are she's not an ECNL superstar if she isn't starting. Not all ECNL (or club for that matter) players are created equal. It's a tough lesson for parents who have been paying top $ for their kids to play club soccer, expecting them to waltz onto the HS field as freshmen.
