I am blind? The highest quality league? Lol. It seems pretty much like the other so called highest leagues that came before and will come after.

This league fight is nonsense. I will say it exposes the money and power issues that underlie youth soccer and youth sports in general. They system preys on status seeking with lots of time and money required to join "the highest league". And talent of course. I know talented players that can afford it seek it out. But don't be blind to what it is. A business.

I would also add it’s laughable that the posts come from obsessed parents that think they have stars that will end up as benchwarmers down the road if they are lucky enough not to end up injured from over involved mommies and daddies that really don’t know as much about the game as they think they do and most likely did not play at any upper level themselves. Things change, players change, environments change. Wish people luck and enjoy your own child’s experience. Stop focusing on what you are supposedly not involved with. Let it go.

Lmfao! For the 100th time, the kids that are leaving "another GDA club" are benchwarmers!!!

-LISC handpicked the players they wanted to keep
-LISC shared their secret plan only with the players/families they wanted to keep
-LISC is getting players from ECNL, GDA teams that are unhappy with their clubs, some of them have already accepted roster spots for next year but are leaving anyway
-LISC is getting players that played GDA last year and are fed up

          ANNONYMOUS POSTERS:
-LISC is spinning the truth, hoardes of kids left and they're claiming they handpicked players to do damage control
-LISC is still behind the curve, announced the hiring of MF after most other clubs concluded tryouts and are still heavily advertising tryouts.
-No player who is a starter ("top player/difference maker") or getting decent PT is leaving their current situation to go to LISC. The only kids who are unhappy are those who are not getting PT ("benchwarmers/reserve"). Alby ECNL did very poorly last year, so even their top players may not be strong GDA caliber.
-The only kids leaving Fury GDA or EM ECNL are those who don't play that much

          LISC SUPPORTERS:
-Omg, omg, omg!!! How dare you call out kids (even though we did first)!!!!
-You're disgusting for saying these kids don't get playing time (even though they don't)!!!
-You're truly disgusting for talking about team standings from last year and implying those players aren't top players!!!

          ANNONYMOUS POSTERS:
-If you want to control and positively spin the narrative around LISC, stick to BOTN where LISC pays Larry Miller to talk-up LISC and censor any unflattering posts.

          Am I all caught up?

You are caught up. But you are incorrect in a couple of the statements about LISC supporters.

Someone else who was NOT a supporter of LISC said:

-LISC handpicked the players they wanted to keep

(don't know where that came from)

-LISC shared their secret plan only with the players/families they wanted to keep

(LISC had meetings with players OUTSIDE of the club that might have been interested, no secret meetings or anything against any player that was already there)

-LISC is getting players from ECNL, GDA teams that are unhappy with their clubs, some of them have already accepted roster spots for next year but are leaving anyway

(Some players just haven't told anyone they were leaving yet, not that they committed to their old team.)

-LISC is getting players that played GDA last year and are fed up.

          (100% true)

Listen, no one ever bragged about any kids who are moving to LISC, or implied anything about any girls who didn't come back. There are reasons to go there, and reasons not to go. Just like any club. If it works for you, great. If you are happy where you are, great. There is movement every year, in every club. Just don't be discouraged by uniformed, disgruntled parents posting with an agenda.

I just don't believe in saying negative things about child athletes, or children in general. When you specify clubs and age groups, it is not hard for people, including other kids, to know who you talking about.

Enjoy whatever team your kid decided to play with. My daughter and I both have friends on multiple teams. During the game we'll each cheer for our own team, and tell each other good game after it's over, and might end up at the other's house for lunch or dinner later. If you can't ever do that, you are taking things way too seriously.

We get it for the 100th time. You want to criticize these particular kids on an anonymous forum. Obviously they offended you in some way but grow up. Two wrongs don't make a right.

There is not a whole lot of difference between the top few teams in GDA, ECNL, NPL, NYPl D1, EDP D1, ERL, etc.

The bigger differences between those leagues is their overall depth and that varies with every combination of age/gender.

                      Real Question***
Does anyone know if LISC is going to allow HS play like they did last year?

My daughter (2004) is interested, but also wants to play HS. We almost joined last year, but a friend from her school quit Varsity bc she said they weren't allowed to do both if they played GDA. Then a bunch of friends from her former team played both HS and GDA at the same time. No waiver or anything, they just played both and they weren't development players, they were rostered as FT. Will it be the same this year where some can play HS and others can't?

Please no bashing, this is an honest inquiry

GDA rules state you can't do both. But HS doesn't care about GDA rules so they will let any student play and who knows how well the GDA side looks to enforce the rules from their end.

Last year, LISC was desperate for players, so they it was a free for all. Next year, that won't be the case.

Next year, USSF banned waivers for public school students.

Honestly, it would be be brutal to try and do both at the same time. It is a recipe for overuse and injury.

No she can't do both and shouldn't (brutal as the other poster said). If she isn't going to make varsity as a frosh, or get much PT or the HS program is garbage, then there's little harm in trying DA for a year. If it doesn't live up to expectations (which, honestly with LISC it may not) she can always go back to HS.
