    Dumbest idea ever

The problems with our system is first and foremost we have too many chefs in the kitchen. This particularity the problem during the early identification years. We need to start earlier and ramp up the technical training with a heck of a lot more consistency within the coaching ranks at much earlier ages. My suggestion is each DA club should only have 3 teams. One for grammar school age kids, one for middle school age kids and one for high school aged kids. On top of that I think there should be a better and smaller minor league system for the best DA players to migrate into before and during college. I also think our DA programs should be traveling internationally instead of nationally.

Yes, yes they should. The best players and teams and programs are not here in the US

DA or ECNL, expanding and diluting the top of the pyramid is essentially a con.

And now it's ECNL's turn to play their games by having the clubs that bailed on DA double the number of ECNL teams. They're all frauds.

All clubs need players #16-22+ to turn a team from breaking-even into profitable. Fact. If your kids aren't in the top half of a roster they're practice cones for the starters and coffer-fillers for club owners.

GDA did a tremendous job of illuminating this point.

ECNL or any other league didn't?

JD realized pretty quickly that it would be a lot easier to sell his product and keep customers happy by doubling the number of ECNL teams than add DA with its constraints. These players and parents don't go away or change, they'll just be easier to sell to and keep happy.
