What is up with BC Ed Kellys bias for NEFC players?!?

Yeah he also works for NEFC so what?!

lazy, stupid recruiting. Huge opportunity to leverage BC into a soccer powerhouse and he's just blowing it.

"Much" of the list in inaccurate? Check in November when the entire list is reviewed against college stats. A few won't be on rosters but the vast majority will be. Things can change, parents or club don't update. If you feel you can do a better job, by all means go ahead. In the meantime go troll elsewhere.

He takes a lot of NEFC kids, and some don’t play. Kelly has been at BC so long that the school doesn’t care. He will retire soon.

Some schools just don't care. Soccer isn't a revenue sport or cared about at many campuses. As long as teams do ok, don't have any controversies or scandals, that's good enough for them.

Yeah just surprised that it's BC, an ACC school. By bother playing top programs like Wake Forest, Clemson and Louisville then? Sucks for those teams and the conference as a whole.

I guess that's one of the reasons US soccer created this March program and only invited a few top programs.

Ed offers good Nefc kids who can play at that level but not necessarily start. What he offers those Nefc kids is the opportunity to get accepted and graduate from a school like BC. All things being equal he takes the BC kids when possible.

"good Nefc kids who can play at that level" Why? There is the whole world out there with players who are several levels better than these kids. He shouldn't be in the ACC then. Wasting every other school's time and hurting BC's soccer program and reputation. He recruits a few world class players like their top attacker from Sweden. This keeps them afloat in the ACC, winning or tying a couple of games here and there. The weak players dilute the training and the game.

Is he fully funded? Problem is once a program weakens then it becomes harder to attract top players. Then they continue to do poorly and fewer top players want to come. It can be a death spiral, often times only corrected with a coaching change. Also, BC doesn't carry the same name cache as many other ACC schools. the women's tea, faces the same issues.

BC shouldn't be in the ACC. They are an NCAA doormat.

How about A solid European kid who washed out on his goal of playing professionally there, so Plan B becomes go to the USA, then onto the MLS. In this case he goes to BC and becomes their superstar, aka a mediocre ACC player.

Almost every conference has it's own BC. Someone has to be the doormat

It’s a scam. Every year, there are several kids from NEFC. Maybe one plays. He must still be getting money from his club.
