If st joes is the measuring stick, then everyone now knows what Trumbull has known for weeks. We are as good as the best and someone that no one wants to play in the Fciac or state tournament.

If true then you have underperfomed
          Reasons?

By that logic, you are as good as Westhill. Congrats. We all agree .

1 loss in 10 games. Played st joes, ridgefield, staples and McMahon. Your little porkers team probably already lost 3, 4.....5?

Off topic but related. How is it possible that the St. Joe's Girls are a top program year after year but the St. Joe's Boys suck. This year they're 0-9-1. They can recruit just like JN can. Why are they so bad? You'd think with recruiting from other towns they'd at least be decent.

Every Catholic/private school CAN recruit, in any sport or in all of them. But STJ doesn't have budgets to offer scholarships to every desired athlete in every sport. So they prioritize. In the fall it's girls soccer & volleyball with the obvious Football for boys.

Good athletic programs usually get success across all/most sports. Darien competes at nearly every sport. Glastonbury's the same. Lately Ridgefield has done the same. STJ is strangely at the top in a few sports and down at the bottom in others - they are rarely in the middle of the standings - feast or famine - first or worst.

And JN does a great job of selling his program to recruits - his position on post-season award committees means he can tell you about all of the all-Americans he's secured votes for. And that success means the church looks more favourably on his requests for financial aid then the field hockey coach or the boys soccer coach. As a previous post said, he's a good assembler.

Love how these girls have brought McMahon into the conversation of top teams in the fciac. McMahon pride!

It's nothe a huge school but running a football team rakes a lot of kids. That doesn't leave much left for soccer. At StJ for boys the focus is football, hockey and Lax in seasonal order.

Trumbull is going to make ilton a sub .500 program after 11 games. How far they have fallen. Maybe they shouldn't have fired that coach. Ha ha ha. Wilton coach makes our Trumbull coach look like Alex ferguson.

Nostradoofus, the house has already made you a 1 goal favorite, what we need from you is a bet...Will you cover the spread or not?!?

                                StJ

                                Ridgefield

They will have had nearly a week off since the Staples loss, but the next 5 games happen in just 12 days.

They sit at 3-1-0, that could easily be 4-5-0 by the end of that stretch. A bad game on Friday could start the dominoes falling.
                                Well the dominoes did fall.

The games vs Trinity and Central reminded them what the ball in an opponent net looks like, they'll need that to make the tourney. In their remaining games they have 9 pts they should/must win over Greenwich Danbury & Stamford. Do that and it gets them to 24 pts. The bubble exists at the 27-28 pt range. So they need 4 points from Trumbull McMahon or Ludlowe. Any points on Monday would go a long way.
