Another great result against Mexico for US U17s on top of the recent success for the U20s. Is the tide turning for US soccer? Is DAP finally making an impact

Very interesting hire. It could pay dividends for this academy club. Hope it becomes a trend and perhaps the DA players wouldn't be so robotic

DA in NYC is about winning, development is secondary
Especially with young players, our experience was that the DA club did not offer clear feedback. They had a core beloved group and the rest. Unfortunately this is not always talent related. Besides politics, favorite families who have been with the club for ages, money, and similar 'considerations' there is subjective coach philosophy which is often a black box (one touches even if a kid is Neymar like, fast running even if somebody has better communication and field awareness, physical even if somebody plays beautifully and still manages tough situations, passing sideways and back even if somebody is goal hungry w results, etc). Then they have to sustain the EDP team, so a strong attacker and a strong midfielder are sacrificed to have that team have a chance at the lower level. A child can be developing fast, get promoted in training and games, then grow by a few inches, to which his brain needs to adapt. Until then, he would lose grace. No long term development focus, nor any attention to the kids psychology. Being thrown under the bus/shown the way out at the last minute, after other DA clubs have done tryouts is not uncommon. At the end of the day, one is left wondering was the kid's development a consideration at any time? Were they going to share any feedback befriend it is too late? Did the coaches actually try to develop the kid to overcome his weaknesses and more. Communication is not just lacking. There is a void. Unlike high level clinics which offer nuanced detailed feedback, NYC DAs offer s...

DA2 Program
I read somewhere that USSDA is planning a DA2 league. Is this still true? What clubs in our region will be part of this?
