Anyone that buys in to the big name is foolish (I had another word in mind, but trying to keep it PG) These fly by nights pay big bucks to be able to license the name and then they charge even more to cover that expense and turn a profit.
The problem is when you cant give your customers a return on their investment because its not a good business model.

Doesn't matter. Club will be obsolete in a few weeks time. Feel bad for those who got conned by the con artist and wife. Don't give any money to them it will disappear.

I would say 95% of the kids playing in south florida, if they played in spain, they would still be paying. The 5% would be paying less or nothing at all.
most parents on this thread would be paying no matter where their kids played. you don't get totally "free soccer" in spain unless your kid is better than what we call U.S. DA level here.
nowhere in the world do kids that play just average soccer do it for free. is it generally cheaper? yes. but so is the food. and salaries are significantly less in spain.

I don't understand!
Parents complaining about paying per play at this new club?
What will be the difference with al those players paying thousand of dollars to Weston that doesn't even have a professional team.
Name one south Florida team that has a profesional team, exactly nobody!

Now if they ever find two or three kids in this franchise and actually sign them and have them play for free or ship them off to Europe . . . then yes . . . it would be more like a European model. For now though its a club with a loose affiliation to a European team that operates under the American Soccer Club model.
