That's sad because the high cost keeps kids out of soccer.

Nothing would be a lot better than what the Timbers have created/destroyed.

        Who are the "lazy DOCs?"

what does this have to do with DOCs? unless you mean Oregon YOUTH soccer, and in that case you are an idiot

That's unfortunate. Why do they want to profit off youth soccer? That's the kind of thing that hurts soccer and makes it more expensive. Get the timbers out of youth soccer and it will improve.

I don't buy this. I think there are plenty of places to play that aren't charging $1500 for the year. It might be a 2nd tier club but they still get to play and if they are really good some 1st tier club will give them a scholarship.

For the record, Oregon was able to operate leagues and cups for 40 years without the Timbers "help". The state can do so for another 40 years without their help.
Timbers' leadership united this state. Whiny docs do nothing but bitch.

Creating a huge money-making monopoly and "uniting the state" are two completely different things. Timbers have ruined youth soccer in Oregon in less than 4 years.

Can someone please clarify what is going on with ODP.

One of our board members indicated that Timbers were trying to exit the program entirely; our coach (who has done ODP) knows nothing about it.

Unity? 21 metro teams play in the little DA, 10 play ECNL, lost track of Timbers/Thorns (G)DA but is approaching 10 teams . . .

unity in Oregon soccer is a myth. The only clubs who want to play in a Timbers' league are alliance clubs and even they recognize this set-up is perverse.
