Whatever the outcome tomorrow schools get to decide if they are in or out all play will be localized with no state tourneys fans or awards this will not be a real season by any means

Ok versus what other options? No season at all? Moving it to the spring, where it might not happen either? My kids are thrilled and it's giving them something to look forward to. Learning won't be the same and socializing at school won't happen, but at least something will feel a little more normal. Kids need this.

Also, NY, NJ and RI are playing. MA seems to be delaying the start (NY also). Why should CT cancel when surrounded by states that aren't ?

While I do t think it will look the same as normal years I am happy if anyone is playing- game, scrimmage, counts or doesn’t count. Who really cares at this point? The girls just want to play-and if they can do that in some form or another that’s what matters.

Now we don't have to have a Fall fleecing from our club. I mean once we make our december payment we get our minimal refund from last year.

No doubt clubs would have seized on the opportunity. All it would be is some practices and a few scrimmages but they would charge close to in season pricing. Some families can barely afford club as it is.

Exactly. Happy to see the kids play high school ball. No matter how crappy the soccer, happy to not write any more checks

so you can play contact sports (football, soccer) while in our town only being in school 2 days a week and e learning the other 3 but they wont allow the chorus / band or orchestra to rehearse together and or perform? do these people realize that some kids in the band / orchestra / chorus have as much in scholarship money riding this as do the kids that play sports?

                  MAKES COMPLETE SENSE

Band/orchestra/choir is in an indoor confined space, a lot of breathing on top of one another. There are multiple cases of choruses' spawning dozens of cases. But this is the type of complaint that will give adminstrators and school boards ulcers - parents crying "but, but, but....that's no faaaaiiiiir!" Nothing they can do will make everyone happy. Never. So they're doing the best they can.

Sports are played outside while band practice and Orchestra is inside....

Being outside makes a huge difference

Musicians and singers can submit solo performance tryouts electronically to programs. Athletes not so much.

How long is that player in close contact with a possibly infected opponent during a game?
