Fort Lauderdale CF USL Team worth the $5

If you love futbol and you love a good laugh, sign up to espn+ for five bucks and watch them play on saturdays... omg what a great show. 2 red cards from academy babies vs a horrible team that struggled to score against 9 players.

You may also spot a familiar kid or two from local academies (weston, inter, boca)

this is what your current inter kid has to look forward to...

Saw that game, the red cards were because the rookies came in hard on fouls and late to the ball, baited by the veteran players.
Cardenas was outshined by number 2 who kept dominating the right wing and controlling the space. Inter academy players looked lost. Azcona looked like a lost mouse no impact in the game.
      stay in school kids

Inter has everything to build a great club. It will take time, but longer because of poor leadership. Beautiful facility; it is the envy of the majority of USL clubs! The best training grounds, and support system for the youth academy, USL and MLS teams. Unfortunately, the leadership in important areas has proven to be poor. Players will want to play at the club if the right people are in charge. Good things will happen, just depends on how long it will take.

If inter does not find a stadium in miami, they have problems. No big star wants to play in Lockhart. If they get the Melreese site, it's a huge win. If not, this could be strikers 2.0, with nicer facilities. After the enthusiasm of the first year wanes, miami fans are not going to be heading up to FtL. Not going to happen. To have a valuable franchise the Miami stadium deal is crucial. your comment about people/ leadership is just a whatever. they are probably on 2 year contracts and can be terminated if ownership determines. it's a non-issue from the standpoint of franchise value.

You are looking at 3 years to build on the Miami site, which will happen when it is possible. Nobody is going spend money on a stadium until they know people can go to the games. The Fort Lauderdale site is already better than many of the current MLS clubs, and to think someday it will be home to just the USL and academy teams. These will be two of the best soccer venues in the country, and held by one club. It takes time.

it's a fine venue, agree, and if you live in boca or north ft lauderdale, a great place to catch MLS games. But again, after year 1, the trip from miami is much too far, no one takes public transportation, and the lure of drinking and getting into the match wears off when you think of the hour drive home. fan base in ft lauderdale/ boca nowhere near big enough to support the club. they need miami. until they secure miami, I don't see value in the franchise. what makes a franchise valuable is it's fan base, connection to the community, not training facilities. no one cares about the academy training facilities except for the small handful of families that are living their soccer dreams through their kids. I am talking about how to increase franchise value by 100s of millions - the business end game - not facilities. you are looking at it from the standpoint of an operator/ coach / academy parent.

The product sucks end of story! It looks like a college soccer team! Usl championship teams play much better football and would smash this club right now that’s where we are at

oh, I agree, which is why a simple stadium in the middle of nowhere in north FtL will never work for miami fans. now, a "destination" with restaurants, shopping, parks, bars, etc., by the airport or other central location is a winner. just the sporting event is NOT enough for miamians.
