    CIAC rules about recruiting camps

This forum might be just as good as the CIAC handbook with regard to the rules pertaining to participation in recruiting activities. What is and is not allowed during the fall season? Will any of this change in regard to COVID 19?

Talk to your AD to make sure whatever it is passes the smell test. The CIAC handbook is absurdly long and cumbersome and some topics are covered in different areas more than once.

Besides, it's looking less and less likely there will be much recruiting going on this fall. Some schools cancelled all sports, won't allow visitors, definitely won't do ID events with 65 non students coming onto campus.

Page 70-72 will answer your questions. Then run it past your AD. Don’t listen to people’s opinions or interpretations on here.

Always get your AD's approval. Most of it is straightforward, but cover all the bases just in cas.e

Some clubs are putting plans in place, but let's not panic until it's finally decided. Clubs that rent town or school fields might have problems if towns restict access. Doubtful there would be "leagues" but as long as interstate competition is permitted they should be able to put together scrimmages.

and right now CIAC doesnt give a Shyte if your kid goes to a recruiting camp
recruiting for the next 2 years is a toss up
college coaches have almost given up on 22sand 23s and are focusing on watching 24s
21s should be done by now

All D1 ID events are on hold. Many coaches aren't sure their schools will let them have ID events on campus even when the NCAA lifts the hold. Some 21s weren't done but you're right that coaches are moving on, took who thye had gotten and looking past next year's class. 22s and 23s still have some time but it will tough for the 22s if planned showcases start getting cancelled.

No chance any college in the Northeast holds an ID clinic this fall. Almost all collegiate programs around here are cancelled for the fall and those who haven't will be done soon including the Big East.

Schools are opening with very tight rules. Mandatory COVID testing, quarantine for students not coming from the Northeast. No visitors, no parents weekend. Sports teams basically allowed fitness and no formal team training.

Are we really discussing ID clinics?

CIAC should be embarrassed putting the kids in harms way.

are you the same guy on the other thread whining about liability if kids get sick? Don't let your kid play. Chances are if they're like you they're afraid to get in a scrum anyway.

Is your kid playing in any summer league games right now? Is your kid practicing with their club or HS team? If so, then shut the fûck up, please.
