CT public high schools will not be having a fall season. No way to control testing costs, towns looking to save money and too much risk involved. Why play a season of high school sports while colleges are cancelling all around.

The college environment is a different animal altogether. Can’t be compared to local HS sports.

Yes, I saw that. CT may follow, but that would mean a delay of 11 days for us I think? First games here set for 9/10 as of now. Personally I think it’s a mistake to delay the season if we’re in good shape now, as we may need to cancel early if things flare up in the fall. May as well get it going and see what happens.

FL numbers weren't bad a month ago...right now the plan is to start. Hopefully that is what happens

NCAA will be making the call of all fall sports except football will be cancelled. Football will be pushed to later possibly a late Nov start with conference only games. Hopefully the fall sports will be pushed to spring.

FL deaths are going up despite the fact that the majority of cases are with people 45 and under. Old people like my parents are still hunkered down, furious at DeSantis. Their community had just started having normal activities again, only to get shut down again a few weeks later. They can't have a semi normal life because cases are raging in their community and the hospital is full.
