    NEP Shelf Life

Say what you want about SC. Now he’s left the NEP chaos follows. The current board, led by a drunk, plan their cunning plan. How long will the NEP exist? 1-2 years max.

If there is somehow soccer this fall then there is a chance for NEP to regroup. If not it might be already over.

There is a better than 50/50 chance that GAL/DPL will fold within 2 years so all they need to do is hang on for another few years to the likes of NEFC, SSS and Bayside come running back.

makes the most sense. Just have those 3 clubs as the anchor teams. All 3 clubs are good enough to anchor NEP. It would improve NEP's credibility instantly. I would bet that's the backup plan if GAL/DPL folds soon. It would be an easy transition and they could sell to their parents that all 3 clubs would be king's of the NEP.

As far as I can tell, the parents who think their kids are the best players have been chasing ECNL and NPL. If those clubs mentioned above somehow land back in NEP, won't those parents be looking for an alternative? Or is it just the next-tier teams from those clubs in NEP?

Why would that be a conflict of interest? If you know the guy, he only cares about the game of soccer... unlike 99% of club owners/directors, chasing profits and the next best league thing...

Running a league that your own club plays in is the conflict of interest. Great soccer guy I agree but how can you say that it wouldn’t be a conflict?

The league is run by LL and BA, and they both have most their teams not even playing nep. Those 2 will kill the league quicker than anyone, watch them

Yeah but when does that conflict NOT happen?

Let's see. Who is running this post? Could it be SC? PB? JB? I cannot believe that BA would have his top teams play in the MLS leagues or ECNL when that is without question the top level available to boys in this area. Everyone knows that SC, AP and PB did not like being called out in NEP meetings and having their air tight relationship tested.

It happened in DA. One the surface, it makes sense. The problem became that the league didn't listen to the clubs at all. There has to be a happy medium.

I know the guy. He’s into this for the money, as much as anyone. He’s part of the south shore mafia, trying to dictate who plays where. This is the beginning of the end for the NEP. SC must be rubbing his hands together right now!

Surely the cartel would not be so stupid? If AS becomes league director things are over For the NEP. Why would any other club trust that decisions being made are based on what is good for the league. AS has become the gimp for LL/BA, this would become a laughing stock.
