“After businesses started opening up”? Can’t wait to see the numbers after thousands of protests started opening up. You think a wedding or a funeral with a 100 people or so were the worst offenders? You better brace yourself. At least businesses are practicing social distancing.
There are millions more people living in red states that opened up a few weeks ago vs those at protests. Many protestors wear masks, and it's all outside adn they're moving around a lot. Folks inside a church or chatting up over beers at a backyard barbecue without masks = much greater exposure. All it takes is one super spreader at a church service or a party and you have a mini boom. It's been documented multiple times already

You can still have a funeral - just limited in attendance. Do a celebration of life later on when it's less raw for everyone. Same with weddings. Our neighbors had a very small affair in their backyard this weekend for their daughter. The couple will have a party later on when conditions warrant. They realized certain things are more important than a big event. They also saved a ton of money that they're putting towards a house. We toasted them over the fence.

I think people in the south/ red states just don't get it. Take a look at the interactive maps. NC/SC about to explode with cases in one week. GA, FL moving up, not down. Texas moving up. Crazy how people just lack common sense because they now think every single thing they hear from non-Trump sources is manipulated.

this is a very serious respiratory illness. regardless about how you feel about the shut down or protests, do not let your guard down. 100% apolitical - this is public health.

Churches, restaurants, and bars have to follow guidelines for Covid. Social distancing is a part of the provisions required. Your notion that these folks are somehow more super spreaders compared to the tens of thousands stacked on top of each other is just ludicrous. I have watched the videos and many aren’t wearing masks. As of matter of fact how many videos have you seen with protesters screaming in the face of police only inches apart? Gee no spread there. Moving around a lot? Great even more chance of spreading the virus to more people. Why stop at 10-15 at a backyard bbq when you can move around exposing hundreds. Take that one “super spreader” sitting In church 6 feet apart from everybody else separated by every other empty pew then released him in crowd of thousands all screaming and yelling shoulder to shoulder. I’ll take my chance going to church. Have fun at your rally.

Let’s wait a see what happens in a few weeks in these “northern blue states” where tens of thousands have completely ignored all social distancing measures in order to protest. It’s interesting they seem to care about certain lives just not yours or mine. Despite how you may feel about the protests, they went against everything the health experts were telling us. I wished you would have expressed this much concern 2 weeks ago.

I agree. I think the protesters are created a public health hazard and so are the rednecks. This is what happens when an unstable egomaniac runs the country. Chaos.

So what you’re saying is the health hazard caused by protesters is Trumps fault. Shocker!

I'm saying he's divided this country like no other president prior. his language is ill conceived and incendiary. we need someone that can unite us as president.

with respect to the rednecks not wearing masks, yeah, that one's on him. he set the tone for his people.

we need leadership not an egomaniac.

Gee, I can’t think of a better way to bring the country together, can you? You hatred him from the time he announced his presidency and you fought him tooth and nail for the last 4 years and now you’re all butt hurt because he’s not putting up with your crybaby meltdown horseshît. Sorry that he doesn’t care about your feelings. He, like many of us, just don’t give a damn about your opinions anymore. You’re as much of the problem as he will ever be.

The country is coming together in their realization that trump is an unqualified national security threat who is trying to destroy democracy. Just look at all the military leaders turning their backs on him. He's losing the evangelicals too, after the bible-waving fiasco. There is a whole website dedicated to former trump supporters who are coming to their senses:

This would appear to be part of the problem. Disapproval at 54.4% and rising:

You seem to forget we all heard the same dome and gloom 4 years ago. Remember Trump will never be nominated, Trump will never be the nominee, Trump will lose by a “landslide”, HRC has a 98% chance of wining, Trump will never get the trade deals done, Trump won’t build a wall, Trump will bankrupt the country, unemployment will skyrocket...blah blah blah. This ain’t our first rodeo. There’s a simple formula for all this. Compare Trumps accomplishments to that of the Dems. There’s your answer. Anybody can talk the talk. If you disagree, please name all of the democratic accomplishments over the last 4 years. Then we can compare them to Trumps.

In case you failed to notice the GOP has held control of Congress from 1/11 to 1/19. They still control the Senate. Moscow Mitch has made it his mission to block Democratic bills - he blocked over 400 last year.

Not one mention of the potential deadly spread of the virus when hundreds of thousands were marching throughout the country but you can bet your ass the keyboard viral specialists will be working overtime. More fake outrage! Just like clockwork. Now that the nationwide marching is slowly down the blatant hypocrites are back! What did I tell you. So predictable!

                                https://www.theblaze.com/news/far-le...t-days-earlier

Far-left lawmaker blasts President Trump's rally plans as 'irresponsible and selfish' — except she spoke at George Floyd rally just days earlier

“Democratic U.S. Rep. Val Demings on Thursday blasted President Donald Trump's plans to hold rallies in her home state of Florida — and elsewhere — as "irresponsible and selfish" due to the coronavirus.“

A number of folks were quick to point out that Demings said she spoke at a George Floyd "Hope and Healing" rally just a few days before decrying Trump's plan to hold rallies of his own:

Observers naturally were incensed at Demings' hypocrisy — which has been widespread among fellow leftists who have dispensed with attempts to defend or explain away their double standard. Namely, that protests and riots against police are OK, even though they attract massive numbers of people who end up not socially distanced, which health experts have advised against in order to contain the COVD-19 spread.

But religious services, students going to school, weddings and funerals — and protests against coronavirus lockdowns? Sorry, they're bad and will kill granny.
