I was with the other guy until he said softball players are some of the best female athletes. You ever be flipping channels and pass by espn 14 or 15? Catch the sight of a bunch of big bottom girls chugging around the bases?

and if they are on ESPN they are playing at a very high level and getting $$$ for school which is the prize in the end

One of my Ds friends is getting a nearly free ride for softball to one of the nation's top academic schools in the country. She is a ridiculously talented athlete albeit perhaps 20 pounds lighter than average lol. Just like with any female sport THAT is the prize, it's not going pro like some men's sports.

raising the minimum wage will have a net zero effect as prices will rise commensurately or cause an increase in unemployment because employers will not be able to pay as many employees and also increase employee stress as those individuals that keep their job will be expected to pick up the slack...how about we stop pushing that every kid needs to go to college and try to steer them in the direction of what they like to best

A Bachelor means nothing anymore. Everyone gets a college degree. Now you need a Masters to get a good job. Maybe this is why so many youth are protesting. It is a class divide. Plenty of college grads with bachelors are under employed and good paying jobs are difficult to get. Maybe they feel disenfranchised by the class system that plays out here. Not to mention these were the first laid off.

Gone are the days when you could work a factory job and afford a tidy home and in state college for your kids. No not every kid can or should go to college. But many WANT to and increasingly they are shut out or have to go into debt so deep they may never dig their way out.

trainable service jobs like plumbers, electricians and mechanics can make a living that affords them these things...many kids these days want to be youtube stars lol...the highest paying jobs require sacrifice and a modicum of smarts plus hard work and sacrifice...not everyone wants to do the work to be a millionaire...I chose a profession that allowed me time for my wife and my daughters...We are not rich but my girls want for very little...life is about choices
