I was at another game in the same division on Sunday afternoon (wet snow, 36 degrees) that WASN'T called and spent the next couple of hours trying to warm a hypothermic 12 year old. The snow was so wet that all his layers were soaked through before warmups were over. Too bad there isn't more consistency in postponing games due to weather conditions.

      Maple Krishnas

We are humbled by the great and all powerfull NEP!

Where have all the NEP promoters gone? Vast MPS conspiracy to silence all competition? LOL

The more things change the more they stay the same.

On the boy's side, the first divisions are generally competitive(at least at the top) but after that is a crap shoot.

The top boys teams are starting to phase out of Maple. Playing in Region 1 or for the Bolts and Revs, the Academy.(which is "backed" by US Soccer)

I believe the Bolts are playing within the Academy structure as early as the U14 age group.

Right. And the lower divisions of the NEP are full of likely first division teams except that there is such quality ahead of them. For example, the NEP U12 Boys first division has 5 out of 8 teams from the GPS/MPS family. Has the NEP become what many wondered.....a place for MPS/GPS to put their teams?? Among the 5 divisions, MPS/GPS has 14 U12 teams, which, I admit, is impressive.

The one thing that can be said about youth soccer is that the number of possible leagues is expanding. Already, for U12 Boys (as an example) there are 5 8v8 divisions in NEP, 3 11v11 in MAPLE, and 4 8v8 in MAPLE. If you want to include BAYS then do so.
Next year all these boys will continue to play in NEP and MAPLE, but some will also enter Region 1 soccer and others might enter the NPL, the EPL, the PreAcademy.........
Some of these teams, in time, will opt out of the traditional leagues altogether.
