So which one of the famous duo of Stars coaches are we talking about? Seems like a rather transparent plug. Guess if you can't get it done with the Stars or Aztec then it probably makes sense to try the Breakers. After them they can try Rush and work their way through all of the other north shore clubs.

That would be a big hit if that were the case. Many young girls would really like that I am sure. Is there information out there about this or is this just speculation?

I would think this is more associated with LB and the Breakers, more so than FM and Scorps staff.

Part of the Breakers/Scorps merger would be to expand. My guess is the Breakers take the lead on all expansion and management of new locations.

That would be a great selling point, and the kids would love it.

I've seen this type of thing before, where a young athlete just out of college starts coaching the u-littles. It can be VERY hit or miss, as newbie coaches often struggle to understand what works developmentally for different kids at different ages. I've seen nightmares of ultra-complicated drills, attempts to teach advanced concepts to really young kids, etc.

It happens in other sports as well (especially basketball).

                Discuss?
If Scorps start to grab some North Shore Talent to add to their already talented younger teams it will be big. Combine that with the Breakers name and connections it will an interesting model.

It is rather amusing how consistent this annual drumbeat is. Last year it was the move to Marlboro and the merger with WUP. Always starts about now and builds to a crescendo just in time for the June tryouts. Love the drama this delusion creates, just feel sorry for the poor saps who buy into it. There is a reason the Scorpions are moving to other regions.. they have lost all credibility in the south shore home territory.

Are you willing to explain why you believe this is the case? Many people on here write about how their younger teams are strong.

Just what we need: more coaches without a clue.
                      But a great selling point.

You are very frequently and easily amused. Quite a roller coaster between laughing so hard and the peptic ulcers from the chronic bitter disappointments with your own situation.

You should really go back and read this forum going back several years. What you are reading in the present tense has been written many times before about many of their now older teams. The results for those older teams are out there for anyone to see. Generally you are going to find that almost all of the Scorpions teams over the past 5-6 have started off strong but faded seriously as they aged up.

Breakers/Scorps based on all that is being said out there and their financial position is ripe to be acquired ( RUSH ? ) neither side appears to happy with the merger

Not sure what the Breakers financials are but maybe they are probably calling the shots on how they want the club to look like, regions, path to ECNL and opportunities for Breakers involvement.

Not sure what the past has to with the future in this case. Maybe relevant or maybe not.

Then look at MPS and see the future. That is where the game plan for all of this originated. Pick your poison. Either a maniacal loner or money grubbing entrepreneur, you make the call.
