Well, I suppose if you tied players legs together, they'd win too, but how'd they do come fall season when teams are at full strength on a full field? That's the point.

No - the point was that St Rose lost in an exhibition match. Big whoop - same thing as losing a spring game.

For the doubters, theres no thought that the top D2 could beat each D1 EVERY time but they could for the bottom D1s.
College soccer IS NOT the EPL. Pretty stupid to even suggest any comparison, but then someone who is ignorant of the differences between D1 and D2 would be dumb enough to make that comparison.

Fall season, full strength teams, D2 team coming off a National championship headed for another conference title and head to a NCAA semi finals loses 2-0 to a struggling D1 team. Do you really understand how ridiculous you sound?

But you are ok - there is no way that a D2 team would EVER beat a D1. Thats ridiculous!

Hey Guys, UMass Lowell beat UMaryland-Baltimore. As it was UML's first year, I would say that a Div 2 can beat a Div 1. Was their only one but it can be done. Now, can we get back to the title of the thread?

most player's on NE 10 teams (starting 11 at least) were also recruited by MAAC and NEC teams, but chose NE 10 for more playing opportunity. NE 10 teams regularly compete against smaller D1 conference teams in spring games. my college team has had D1 transfers come in and sit the bench. although there may be a gap between the 2 divisions, its not a huge one with the NE 10 compared to other D2 conferences.

Plenty of D2 schools would beat D1 schools. Look at the lower teams in MAAC, NEC, America East and a few others.

                            Canisius
                            UMass Lowell
                            VMI
                            St. Peter's
                            Bowling Green

These 10 schools would not win the NE -10. They would probably be in the top 4 but looking at the Northeast D2 schools I think St Rose, Bridgeport, AIC, Adelphi and CW Post would all beat the 10 D1 schools listed above.

This will blow your mind then. Sat in the stands, and watched D3 Trinity(tx), pick apart a D1 Southland Conference team. 3-1! Spring 2011

Messiah men beat Bucknell 3-1 a couple of weeks ago.
