Those "ploys" really don't work. For some reason, both of you continue to have too little respect for the intelligence of the readership here.

If this site made much money from clicks, many of us might believe that the two of you have been staging this feud for a while now. Increasingly, there isn't much to it besides expression of mutual contempt. But the show can be entertaining enough.

If you simply haven't been paying attention, look up "dog-whistle politics" or "racial code words," then go to espn.com and compare how "different" athletes get treated and referred to in comments.
Now that Obama has used the word Thugs to describe the Russian operatives in the Ukraine, is it now OK for the rest of us to resume the use the word? Or are you still going to buy into the veiled racial reference BS?

Not sure today is the day to take a stand with racism.

            World English Dictionary

            thug
            — n
            1. a violent person, especially a criminal.

synonyms: ruffian, hooligan, vandal, hoodlum, gangster, villain, criminal, informaltough, bruiser, hardman, goon, heavy, enforcer, hired gun, hood

            2. historical: A member of a religious organization of robbers and assassins in India. Devotees of the goddess Kali, the Thugs waylaid and strangled their victims, usually travelers, in a ritually prescribed manner. They were suppressed by the British in the 1830s.

Call a thug what they are, a socially unacceptable individual. It shouldn't matter what the color of their skin is, what should matter is we should want to suppress their activities because they represent a threat to honest, law abiding citizens of all races.

            racism
            — n
            1. the belief that races have distinctive cultural characteristics determined by hereditary factors and that this endows some races with an intrinsic superiority over others
            2. abusive or aggressive behavior towards members of another race on the basis of such a belief

How is Eric Holder's position that the motivation behind the criticism of him is racially motivated rather than performance motivated any different than Donald Sterling’s ugly comments about associating with blacks? One is a victim, one is an oppressor. In both cases both men clearly see the world ONLY in terms of skin tone. They are both actually racists. Why then should the world stop and take a stand against one and yet just accept the other?

Thug is not a racist term, sorry.

Just stop. You're making an incredible fool of yourself.
