In this day and age of computers I think we have lost the ability to investigate. Everyone wants things spoon fed to them. It is not a surprise why our society and economy are going downward. The only thing going up is our debt.

it would appear that at least half of the games are being played on grass fields, most being from U14 and under.

Theoretically there won't be any snow then, unlike Manhattan :). There aren't that many turf fields for a tournie that big. Older and/or tougher brackets get priority.

I know that this seems crazy..............but doesn't rain make a field soggy and force towns to close their fields??

Magically that tournament has rarely had big rain issues. Our town participates and tends to be a bit more lenient for something as big as that vs just regular weekend games. Assume others do the same knowing it is a logistical nightmare.

Then again Manhattan never had snow issues until this year either, so never say never…
