Chelsea Piers will no longer be part of CFC. CFC will continue to have a branch in Stamford. Chelsea Piers will need to apply to be a new club.

Beachside should get all over that partnership. Its the nicest indoor facility in CT.

It looks like Chelsea Piers is partnering up with IMG. Did CFC say no bueno to that and Chelsea Piers walked?

Clearly Chelsea Piers is a well run business. Owners are no dummies. They see the throngs of soccer kids going through their doors, not just CFC but other clubs as well. IMG would be a better draw than CFC for boys and girls; CFC at the branch level is primarily a girls business.

CFC Chelsea is a new branch for boys and girls run by AL, RS and JB. All are local HS coaches - all great coaches. Will use facilities at Trinity in Stamford and Blind Brook in Rye. Great idea for CFC to cover lower Fairfield county area.

Now that CFC has ECNL for boys they will focus more on boys soccer.

They've tried for years and have gone nowhere. CFCU boys is strong only because it follows the girls model of brining in a group of strong players from all over at U14; players trained at CFC branches and elsewhere. Getting the ECNL boys badge won't change that. Lower FC has stiff competition from better boys clubs, and now the CP/IMG partnership as well

Will Chelsea Piers Ct/ IMG club have premier teams? If so what league will they play in? Where will they play games? Or will it just be indoor leagues and training clinics?

IMG affiliation is no joke. That's big.

CFC C.P. branch has a very hefty price tag per year playing low level premier wonder if that will change if IMG is stepping in.

Seriously. That team lost to town travel "premier" teams. No where to go but up from there.
It won't be hard for CP/IMG to attract players. That's the easy part. Can they attract good-->great players. That's the hard part. Many have tried, few have succeeded to break the CFC multi-headed monster. Look at how hard BS is finding it to recover from their missteps on the girls side.

C'mon. Lol. Joking this early in the morning? Haven't had my second cup of coffee yet. IMG and CP are perfect partners. Big businesses who are clueless about running a sports program.

You just hit it on the head. CP charges an OUTRAGEOUS amount of money for a crap program. $3800+. No, I'm not exaggerating. CFC started receiving complaints and pulled the plug on the CP crew. As another poster said, they have taken the branch back over. At their meeting, they said prices would drop to what Arsenal pays and quality would go up.

So my question is this as someone who has a U-little kid in the program. CP has been a terribly run, embarrassingly poor program for a few years. How do they expect to bring in MORE players and MORE quality without CFC than with them? Not to mention the hefty price tag. It's a fair question. Here's another. What league will this non-existent club play in? One thing CFC did say at the meeting was that any kid who stayed with CP shouldn't bother showing up at United tryouts at U14. We will be staying with CFC.

CP-AC does appear to have a great roster of coaches, many of who are ex-CFC'ers. Price tag is a bit hefty, but the indoor facility is a factor.

The new CFC Chelsea branch also with some quality coaching. Where will they train and play games? Where will they run indoor season?
