Puff Puff Pass. At least 20 clubs have backed out. But stay delusional. God has a soft spot for old folks and fools.

OW will now have 4 or 5 DA teams and that's it. Good night OW

Oakwood will still be the same Oakwood next year. Just not with LA roaming the sidelines.

Many other clubs were approached prior to last year's application deadline and said no. The 20 the op was referring t isn't just the ones that originally said yes and are now saying no. I think that group is now up to 7 clubs.

In OW's case they had no choice. It was GDA or continue to flounder in girls soccer without an ECNL badge

And it will be a lot more expensive, the teams will be less talented and the kids more one dimensional, choosing to focus all of their time on the singular pursuit of being one of 18 girls in the country to be on the women's national team while thier peers get to play high school soccer, pursue multiple interests and continue to enjoy a sport for 4 more years as part of thier college experience and maybe get a few bucks or get into a reach school. Hey.... atleast your kid will get an academy signing ceremony on Facebook and you will get to day she plays in a league that says they are the best in the country at things. Things will be defined later after the check clears.
