That's like two food cart vendors who decided to pool resources and make a double wide cart offering a menu of fast food with fine dining prices (Crossfire United). Then one of the owners decides to leave the double wide venture and joins on as a chef at Roe's.
Huh?

Instead leadership at one local club that plays in the same league as the Sting opt to leave CU and join the Thorns GDA staff.

CU and FC or any other club had no chance of getting in the GDA with our market size and player pool available, with the GDA appointment going to the NWSL club in town on the first wave of membership.
Same thing happened on the boys side, the MLS team got the Academy and nobody else.
The only thing that's huge is your inability to digest reality.

THUSC DOC is not leaving THUSC by the way.
Can you explain this?
leaving the THUSC club was never mentioned.

There are aspects of the GDA rollout that feel like white man privilege training - there is a group of women's coaches in the country that wholeheartedly have drank the coolaid.
There are others who, we could say have not drunk the coolaid.

Like you.
Blowing up the option of a 2 club partnership is really what's on the table with this bizarre move.
Every club girl has the option of trying out for the GDA.
Genius stuff

1. THUSC was once a good respected club.
2. They aligned with crossfire.
3. Now their teams are terrible and crossfire is getting their best players..
4. The DoC took over after Tom left.
5. Not alot of people I know view her as a top quality coach.
6. She is taking the job to stay in the mix as she along with many are dinosaurs and are only alive because of the system in place.

Great job US Soccer.

See, it all turned out okay for you. No need to panic.

We all know the real cost of DA travel will be more than ECNL. The DA players in Portland are only having to pay $2000. Somebody is going to need to pay for the balance. Just because your player is not directly paying for it does not mean it is a more cost effective route.
Why start a league that will actually cost more and the only way to attract player is by getting someone else to pay for it.

The NCAA leagues cost millions to run with travel and lodging and the only way a coach can attract student-athletes by having the university pay for the athlete to attend and cover their associated costs, (via a scholarship) talent makes the rules.
That's why Oregon girls are in shock because the Thorns are willing to spend more on them in 1 season than any D1 school would spend on them over 4 years. Yes, it's crazy cool.
