If your dream is for your son to join mls and make $60k a year or join a us deve academy to get 10% scholarship you have set a very low bar
Tell me when soccer is a real sport in America and your son makes a living

Rain on daddy's parade
Soccer is a white rich kid sport in south Florida. If the best athletes in south Florida playsoccer and had proper training, America would be like Brazil. Instead these kids play American football. The academies/ clubs should do a better job of outreach to the inter cities but that would not be economical. In sum, till American blacks take to soccer USA will stay the same. The truth is, soccer does not want blacks. That's why they throw bananas. Blacks are faster, bigger, jump higher and tougher.

Juve is a guy with a license to open franchises that brings over young kids from italy to coach. its not a bad alternative to your typical miami-dade club, but you cannot compare it to the coaching your kid would receive if he were in valencia or villareal or even prato as they get older. you know this, you just like to pretend that you don't because you like to think you are tapped into some special european experience.

I am talking about first tier european clubs, like villareal, valencia, roma, etc. and by the way just wait two years and play Prato as a u14. You will be shocked how much they have improved.

Agree with you , if this generation of great 04/05 players are coached the right way , and clubs stop wasting money on silly tournaments like Disney where you spend tons of money for everything, and play the same teams over and over, use that money and travel out of the country to compete at a higher level, great experience for the boys.that would make this generation of players even stronger to compete vs tough clubs in Europe, Weston did it, juventus did it, more will follow.
