A quick check of flights three months out shows about $150 dif between flights to Raleigh vs SD. Not negligible but not extreme either. Almost all clubs with college prospects go to one of the Florida events at the same time of the year. As for Seattle, ECNL has moved the playoffs to Chicago this year and it has been in Colorado. Notwithstanding, it's a lot easier to plan when you know you are going 6 months in advance than having to play in with about month advance notice, even if it is only Indiana, Oklahoma, Texas or wherever the championship series is (W.Virginia no longer seems to the place).

Not everyone's life is so predictable. All it take is one parent getting called into a business trip that changes the flight reservations and that will eating up any savings that might have been had by booking early.

If a parents is getting called away on a business trip I think they can financially afford the extra charge.

Got the news from the club that MK is out and the end of the season. It was so visible that FM and MK were at odds. Question is where does he go next? Burned bridges in a lot of places only logical choice is NEFC?

Pure crap. No one on the boys side answers to Fred. In the same way no one on the girls side answers to BA. If MK leaves it has zero to do with Fred.

NEFC National championship

You guys do realize that so many of the kids from that NEFC team now play for the Revs 02 or 03 Academy or the Bolts 02 or 03 Academy, right? There's like a dozen of them between those teams and a bunch more that stayed at NEFC but could have played at one of the Academies.

What "National Championship" are you talking about?

If the Revs came calling those NEFC kids that "stayed" would have "left" without hesitation.
