I guess that's why the clubs decided it would be beneficial for the younger teams to have good competition at the younger ages then? Which is exactly what they have with CCSL. If you're U9-U11 your options are travel or CCSL. I'll take CCSL with FSA, OW, and other good teams over cra* town travel any day. With the exception of a few outliers the majority are long standing clubs with good development track records. Older ages are shaping up for CCSL as well - better competition than CJS without regional travel. CJSA groupings are a joke at this point.

Which is what CJSA is now. CCSL actually has (mostly) well established club.

exactly. and there's a couple of non-cfc clubs that have a decent reputation that are still in cjsa, so it makes me wonder what's wrong with them that they haven't moved over to ccsl.

They probably will for the fall. Don't forget this only CCSL's 2nd year (at least I think it's the 2nd, 3rd max) so the fact that they've gotten this many clubs in so quickly speaks volumes about what the clubs think

Exactly speaks huge volumes. About the run and hide tactics of for profit clubs.

How do we justify the cost to our club members when we cant beat town premier teams.

Create a league that only we can play in so if we have a bad season it doesn't look that bad to our paying parents. This way we don't have to have an excuse for losing to town premier if we lose to another "established" club.

Oh, not just town premier teams. We used to mop up these clowns with town travel teams.

No club and their paying customers want some real competition. CJSA doesn't have younger teams either. Like someone said so then it's CCSL or travel. Most CCSL clubs then have regional teams for players to move into as they get older (if they're good enough) - FSA, AC CT, OW, EA....where is a town premier player going to go?

Also, almost all premier clubs are for profit. Even the ones that are non profit are set up that way more for tax purposes rather than to run a charitable institution - that includes almost all clubs in CJSA as well.
