Just know all talks are not Armstrong based. Just know the SCU board are the sharks in this story. They are as aggressive as any board in terms of moving up in the world. This isnt a diss, this is just so you know where the club will be in the next years. Forget mergers right away. Just watch it happen.

SCU..will pick up for free any serious player's now having Ecnl and Rl.
The rest from bsa/cbs. made up with division 3# players no sense paying for that. I guess a 3erd. or 4th. Team Can be added for the rest.

]It might be bigger but it won't be any better. There isn't a big talent pool in Brevard and there sadly never will be.
I'm not saying you are wrong will need help to build thru the schools/Rec Soccer
I don't know how many 4A 5A ,6A schools their are but There's a few They will have to
Re think on how to get more kids in travel soccer for year down the road remember its a Start at Ecnl and RL.
Anywhere from a hour drive out a in any direction will draw kids.

this is the most incorrect thread I've seen in a long time. The board of SCU are all great people , they are all volunteer and even though some still have kids in the program, they never expect special treatment for their kids being placed on teams. they are not "aggressive" and do not act without Scotty. Scotty = SCU SCU=Scotty. there is nothing done without him.
As far as mergers go. SCU's Rec program has been growing quickly. They have run out of field space for all their teams. They are not going to merge with other clubs but there will be partnerships. HC (the director of Rec) came from Merritt Island and has done a fantastic job in the Rec program. last season a lot of players came over from CBS , it would be beneficial for the surrounding clubs to be SCU affiliates on the Rec side and the better players from all join the ECNL/ ECNLR in a centralized location (Viera Fields). the biggest issue is for U9-U12 players traveling to Viera when they could be playing in their more local fields.

Part two of your response..
Some of these big city's team's have 1500/kids to pick from to form one pre-ecnl team
That's what he meant by player pool size. Not that anyone's doing a bad job SCU Rec Soccer.
The Size Difference in big city programs.. Geeezzz Relax

1500? is this real or an exaggeration? I have been to many clubs and if we have 100 kids show up in 1 age group that is considered a lot. So is this legit that 1500 show up for one age group?
