Men's and women's tennis and swimming/diving.....Both are smaller then the soccer teams and mostly from foreign countries.

Correct only 68 athletes and 9 coaches so no biggie. Thank god Soccer was not touched that would be a national tragedy.

Most soccer programs will be fine but the # of scholarships could get whacked. Schools with smaller conference football programs are looking at cutting scholarships so that will hit women's soccer teams. If you have kids in gymnasitcs, rowing and other sports then yes you should spend your money on tutors to get their GPAs up.

Put in a lot of $$$ into youth soccer and it’s a big business. College Soccer will be just fine, other so called sports like running, swimming, lacrosse, tennis, golf, baseball not so much. They should be eliminated first.

Baseball isn't going anywhere either. Track probably ok. Swimming, tennis and golf definitely at risk. Rowing, field hockey and a few others too.

I'm curious to see if maybe some schools drop down to D3. It eliminates the entire scholarship issue, including Title 9, as well as lower costs (usually less travel, no official spring season).

Two D1 baseball programs shut down already and a handful or more of D2. But ok not going anywhere....

If you are running a school that is anticipating a large budget deficit, the sports programs should be the first place to look at for cutting. Unless you have TV revenue coming in.

Sports are all expense for a college. They are used to attract students but schools are doing the math now to see if they can replace every sports-playing student who would be turned off by the decision with a non-sports playing one who didn’t care.

Out of several hundred baseball programs? Hardly a trend yet. Let's see where it falls out, but baseball will fare better than some other sports. I bet football scholarships get hacked at lower level programs - that makes it easier to cut women's sports and scholarships

Clueless about the economics of college sports I see....basically 1-2 sports fund the rest and the majority of non revenue sports (esp at Big 5) lose anywhere from 1-3mil USD every year. So more cuts coming especially if college football either comes back without fans or gets pushed to Spring.

Broadcasting revenue will keep football & basketball going, with or without fans in the stands. Granted they'll take a hit with no fan $$$, but will be fine- some women's sports will be OK as well, those in danger are probably headcount like Gymnastics, Volleyball & Tennis.

Wrestling and Lacrosse has been cut at a few schools too. With no gate revenue the Ohio St and Michigan’s of the world lose 50-60mil of revenue.....can’t overstate the impact it will have.
