Has anyone gotten any info from their club by now on refunds? Hopefully some positive examples can be shared that could lead to other clubs following suit.

This was posted on the MA and CT boards. Stars setting a reasonable standard. Send it to your clubs and demand similar
Originally posted by Unregistered View PostIs this post real? If it is then it does not look good for summer soccer for any team unfortunately. Im sure they consulted with ECNL and other league teams before sending this email out if its real. Very sad for the kids.
FC Stars just sent following email. Will your club do the same?
The club has taken the decision to provide a credit/refund opportunity to all players in good standing with the club in 2019-2020, as follows.
a) All graduating Seniors (2019) will be offered the following options
o A refund of 40% of the fees paid by that family in 2019-2020.
o A donation equivalent to the refund value to the FC Stars Financial Aid program
b) All 2019-2020 two-season players (winter and spring), generally high school aged players, with the obvious exception of the graduating Seniors, will be offered the following options.
o A credit of 40% of the fees paid by that family in 2019-2020 to be applied to the team fee for 2020-2021.
o A refund of 25% of the fees paid by that family in 2019-2020.
o A donation equivalent to the credit value to the FC Stars Financial Aid program.
c) All younger 3-season players (Fall, Winter Spring) will be offered the following options
o A credit of 30% of the fees paid by that family in 2019-2020 to be applied to the team fee for
2020-2021.
o A refund of 15% of the fees paid by that family in 2019-2020.
o A donation equivalent to the credit value to the FC Stars Financial Aid program.

PSA is actually requiring that parents make the initial deposit NOW for the 2020/2021 season and start paying for the fall season in June. Payments for fall season must be paid in 5 monthly installments June, July, August, September, October. Even if you tell them that you accept the offer for a spot, they will take that offer away from your kid and give it to someone else from outside the organization if you don’t pay. They will not use the money that they owe as a refund for the spring season to be credited as your initial deposit for the fall 2020/2021 season. They said that you have to pay for the deposit in cash for the 2020/2021 season even if they owe you a credit for the spring. If you do not agree to give them the cash deposit, then they will cut your kid from the team. This is not a lie. This is the absolute truth. This is an example of what kind of organization PSA is.

Unfortunately it is a business. These clubs have to make money. You really don’t have to join. It’s difficult situation for all.

PSA has told us we will get a partial refund for the year if no games are able to be played by this spring/summer.

I get these times are hard. I’m grateful my payments were delayed but I can’t see any business NOT requiring some money. If a parent doesn’t make some payment in good faith then how can the business know they will ever get paid? I’m saying all this as a parent too. Not defending the administration.

Brian S are you here again this morning ( 1 hour ago) ?
Canon is Saturday morning , you spend way too much time writing and causing reactions with your multiple messages in different thread.
You jump from Sta to csa to NJFire to refunds . Wait there is one page about governor Murphy, I think you should write something there too.
Must be a big job and frustrating too. Nobody cares . Nobody wants to talk to you anymore in the club, parents are avoiding you.
I know you from long time and you caused trouble everywhere you have been.
We all hope, pray and wish that you go to another club, the ones that take your registration without deposit like you mentioned .
Please let us know when you do so we can break the rules of Covid 19 and have a huge party
