It is a strange concept for most that the top kids don't necessarily go to things like id2 after 13 years old.

Not true. ID2 is open to DA and several DA kids are on list.

This is not right - its US Soccer so it is allowed.
My son plays DA and every year they send top 2 players to ID2.

Because 01's rarely make '00 DA teams, or rarely chose to play on '00 DA teams (so they can pad their goal numbers and make national teams).
