what is the joke?? missing the point here too!!! There is an enormous population of Venezuelans here in Weston and Doral communities. Having a tryout to discover new talent that may contribute to the national team of Venezuela is a smart thing to do.
Venezuela is not one of the Latin America Futbol powers that have abundance of talented kids in their country .. looking for talent elsewhere does not hurt, even if you end coming up with only 1 or 2 high level players the effort will be a successful one.

What a great idea to round them all up at one time and ship them back to their homeland. Can we please hold tryouts for the Kenyan national team, maybe Obumer will show up to ship his sorry arse back. Live free or die.

I believe they said "their" national team. As in Venezuela. Being a citizen of that country, no matter where you live, gives you eligibility.

This would be like Jurgen Klinnsman going to Germany to find players for the US national team.

He would never do something like that, would he?
