Hey Trump supporters, why hasn't the Trump administration showed the bi-partisan Gang of Eight the intelligence proving the imminent threat? Why open yourself up the Wag the Dog accusations if you were on solid ground? Hmmmm

“The problem with the War Powers Act? Multiple presidents have virtually ignored it or bent these rules, with no consequences. In 1986, Ronald Reagan attacked sites in Libya in retaliation for a bombing which injured Americans, but did not have congressional approval. In 1999, Bill Clinton launched airstrikes in Yugoslavia, aimed at preventing genocide, without giving proper notice to Congress or consulting lawmakers. In 2011, Barack Obama authorized military strikes in Libya, and argued that the War Powers Act simply didn't apply.“

I'm not sure what you are referring to with Ambassador Stevens. Please provide a link to that news story and explain why it has anything to do with what Trump just did.

You might remember when we attacked Irag in 2003 based on poorly interpreted intelligence that said they had WMDs. Public opinion turned against Bush once the truth came out. You can't blame anyone for being suspicious now, especially given the circumstances.

Also I need you to provide the link that shows Reagan, Clinton, and Obama all showed Congress imminent threats prior to authorizing military action without congressional knowledge. If you can’t, you’re a lying cuck! 😂

I gotta tell u Trump has a shît ton of support for his actions in Iran. Does that make it right? Nope. Your argument is flawed. It’s either a direct violation of the War Powers Act or it isn’t. Public support doesn’t matter. You can call Trump out all day long but it won’t changed the fact multiple Presidents have done the same. Just more hypocrisy!

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostYou're not familiar with history and you're not paying attention. I'm not questioning the authority of any president to authorize military action if it's justified. Justification doesn't have to include an imminent threat (do some reading on the cases you referenced), but Trump and his apologists specifically mentioned imminent threats to justify last week's strike in Iraq. So why haven't they shown congress the proof of that imminent threat?

It's unbelievable that you libtards are upset about this guy being killed. He killed Americans. The Quds were designated a terrorist organization in 2007. Other countries also designated them as terrorists including Soleimani. He deserved to die. If the Obama admin had the balls to do it we wouldn't be having this debate because you brainwashed liberal pussy's would have been all for it. Get over yourselves. You lost an election. You're going to lose the next one. STFU and deal with it.
