Neither are many of the local D3’s either apparently.

Yup, that's what that thread proved. Did they not teach logic at Duke in the 80s?

And if there's nothing to talk about with D3, why do you keep talking about it, lol? You post more about D3 than anyone else on the site. Not even close. Now that's funny. Or sad. Or funny. Time to order the pizzas, BTNT???

There is William Smith right at #2. Wasn't that one suggested for BTNT's kid?

Sorry, but MHC is similar to many other D3 schools which are not very competitive in soccer.

You're right....like the bottom 50-100 of D3 (which has 400+ programs). But at least it's a good school.

They finished 2-16-1, last place. Weak academics and horrible soccer.

The real thing to talk about is how bad the academics actually are at the top D3 schools. The top of the heap D1 programs are generally much better regarded academically than the top of the heap D3 programs but that would run counter to the narrative on this site.

So much for this idea that you have to go to D3 to find top academics with top soccer.

No, BTNT, you are the problem. Why always an either/or with you? Fantastic schools in both divisions.

The article points out some hard truths a lot of parents & players choose to be in denial or naive about. Same thing happens in club soccer. Last offered players think they are on equal footing with impact and core players until game day happens. Only difference between the two is that in college mommy and daddy can’t call the coach and DOC up to complain. And instead, player gets cut or is relegated to being a full time bench warmer.

I'v been reading these threads for 5 years and rarely post. Our daughter just returned home for Christmas Break after her 1st season of D1 college soccer. Her first season was hard, very hard. After talking to her, I'm convinced that most of the chatter on here about playing college ball is BS.
