So much for this idea that you have to go to D3 to find top academics with top soccer.

The article points out some hard truths a lot of parents & players choose to be in denial or naive about. Same thing happens in club soccer. Last offered players think they are on equal footing with impact and core players until game day happens. Only difference between the two is that in college mommy and daddy can’t call the coach and DOC up to complain. And instead, player gets cut or is relegated to being a full time bench warmer.
