Since no statutory crime has been committed, abuse of power and violating the oath of office becomes a subjective matter that should be unanimous across the aisle and not straight down a party line with zero support from the opposite side. This is why this impeachment process has set such a dangerous precedent. Republicans are right in their accusations of a political hit job and a sham. You know the framers of this country never intended impeachment to be used as a political weapon. Heck, even Clinton's impeachment had bipartisan support.
