The fact is the FUTSAL BALL covers up your actual first touch, due to the denser ball. Giving many a false sense of their actual ability, just the way it is. Physics. The FUTSAL BALL does in FACT not have anything to do with developing a touch or technical proficiency, it's a mirage or shortcut.

Playing with an Orange will do more than playing with a forgiving FUTSAL BALL.
DOCs are incorporating it because they have to so they can compete with other clubs. They don’t like it and feel threatened by it.

Futsal improves your touch. This is fact and something you would understand if you weren’t so busy stuffing cheeseburgers down your gullet while opining about something you have no clue.

Here in the NE, we have our expectations set that futsal is a way to train inside due to the weather, stay fit, and get your touches in. Keep your expectations at that level. We're not training these kids to play futsal in college.

There are some kids that have taken up futsal as a primary sport, rather than as a cross-training activity to support outdoor soccer--RCF and a few of the other gyms have house teams and full-time clubs. Westside also runs Metro Futsal Academy on the side.

And this is one area where Portland is way ahead of Seattle--they've been struggling up there to establish futsal, apparently.

This is the problem in Oregon. DOCs look at kids as little more than $$$. Any kid who decides they would rather play futsal over Oregon outdoor slop DOCs coach is lost $$$ for the DOC.

I actually don't personally know any kids who are choosing to do futsal full-time, and not do outdoor soccer, but they certainly exist. Were I to hazard a guess, some of them are technical-but-smaller kids who some coaches won't pick (at least not for the first team)--in an environment where many coaches do put a premium on athletic ability (including more than a few who should know better), focusing on futsal might be a better option than playing for an outdoor club's B team, even if the player is ultimately intending to return to the outdoor game if they can boost their skills to compensate for a lack of size.

And a lot depends on age. U12-U15 (for boys, U10-U14 for girls) have a lot of variability in size due to uneven development, so smaller kids often get short shrift.

The dense futsal ball improves everyone's first touch, that's by design', function & gravity. It's a low bounce ball. Silly Hamburglar.

That touch translates to outdoor too. You would you actually played.

                              Now, I'm confused.

Is futsal a means by which greedy coaches and DOCs make the cash register ring a few extra times during the holiday season?

Or is it something that lazy coaches and DOCs avoid because they'd rather take December off, and the cash register that does ring is the one down at RCF or at the Y?

Get your conspiracy theories straight, people...

Since I don't write 99% of this sh1t, the other person here (that would be you, I guess, as you aren't me) CLEARLY has a lot of time on their hands. And I must admit that I am amused by this brilliant performance art, carry on.
