DA should be completely abolished as it has not yielded any benefits only challenges and problems. US Soccer is a complete mess, ECNL leadership should take over.

Heard that FC Delco are dropping their non DA programs, including the entire girls program. Hearing from people at the Union that the two will continue to work closely, and that aspects of the Delco club are holding progress in what the Union are trying to do in youth development. The Union may be adding to the Delco coaching staff with more of their people. It is very possible that the people at Delco don't even know the direction that the Union plan on taking them at this point.

Any word on tryouts or ID clinics for either of these clubs? I know last year by this time tryouts were posted and I’d clinics were underway.

Delco had 1 ID clinic so far back in Nov, nothing since. Nothing online about future ID clinics or tryouts. I asked our coach about tryouts and never got a response. Something stinks.

Maybe they are part of the teams committed to "tryout season reform"?
Below is posted by West-mont:
We are pleased to announce that West-Mont United Soccer Association is continuing to lead efforts in regards to "tryout season" reform. Continuing on our Club's success of shortening the travel tryout period from last year, we are proud and pleased to announce that West-Mont has officially signed the "Player First Tryout Commitment legislation" in collaboration with other like minded clubs and Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer for the 2020/21 season and beyond. Clubs have been moving tryouts earlier and earlier, jumping over each other on the calendar. This legislation will standardize the soccer tryout window and push it back to May 4th. This will allow the end of tryouts to align more naturally closer to the end of the travel season.
Ian Dawson - Executive Director, expressed that:
"We are extremely happy to pledge to the Players First Tryout Commitment Agreement. We at West-Mont feel the vital importance of committing to a full year of soccer and to your team is key in the growth and development of our youth and game today! This will only create positive life lessons for our youth players to learn from and take into their everyday lives. Finishing out commitments as in anything in life is a huge reason why we are fully in support of this agreement, too often we see team's fold or struggle to field teams during a large portion of the season due to early tryouts, ID clinics and other ways that unsettle a player and create an awkward environment on teams. This only hurts the many committed players, who wish to finish the season with their teammates. In addition, we will be shutting down all mid-season travel ID sessions/clinics/showcases so ALL players within the game can fully commit to their own development and mindset of being part of that team for the full duration of the season. We look forward to taking this big step along with like minded clubs and EPYS! The Players Must Come First! We thank everyone from West-Mont, EPYS and all families within Eastern Pennsylvania soccer community for their continued support and effort in establishing this movement "

We keep hearing that Richie Graham wants to buy PG to expand Union programs, if Tornetta were to make it possible.
