This is now the #2 thread EVER on TS. It will be #1 in the very near future. The person that posts comment #6826 should win something special.

        Really?

Think the new U17 coach will get sacked?

Not good when losing by 4 is a 50% improvement and own goal is the only way you score. Their speedy strikers were overrated obviously. What a train wreck.

Ok, so 19 goals against in 4 games and their defender PS goes to Tucson with first team training. Hahahaha!!

did you watch the 7-0 game? No they don't have the best players. not by a long shot. It wasn't just an ineffective team- individual skills and fitness was poor for most of the players. What an embarrassment to New England.

Sorry Bryan. The truth hurts doesn't it?
                  Lame response.

3 primary problems with Revs (for both top team and academy).

                    1. Traveling to Foxboro

                    2. Traveling to Foxboro

                    3. Traveling to Foxboro

I want a check Jonathan Kraft if this comment gets to you and you make this simple change that will change the entire organization.

Foxboro has nothing to do with it. It's management/ownership indifference and coaching incompetence.

There is a possible solution, which sounds far-fetched I know:

Seattle has a successful MLS team with their own stadium 10 minutes from downtown.
Amazon’s Seattle campus is in a thriving neighborhood close to downtown.
Boston is high on the list for the second Amazon HQ.
The Boston site at Suffolk Downs is close to downtown, but anonymous and isolated.
Building the Amazon campus with a state of the art soccer stadium, and events venue (think Live Nation) would anchor the HQ and catalyze Suffolk Downs as a thriving neighborhood.
Amazon would buy the Revs, pump them full of $$, and we would have our own NE version of Manchester City (ok that last one may be a step too far).

Boston probably won't get the Amazon HQ but yes a stadium closer to town would help. But that takes $ and without a new owner who wants to put something into the franchise it will never happen. Even then Boston has 4 great teams to cheer on. Until recently Seattle didn't have shi te.

And Jeff Bezos is a Star Trek fan, not a soccer fan.

Let's drop the nonsense about the commute to Foxboro. If the Academy was a professional system with good development and world class coaches and trainers, parents would flock to Gillette for training (even 5 days a week). The GA Cup is designed to measure your Academy against other MLS clubs and the Revolution failed miserably this weekend. 1 (own goal) for in 4 matches is abysmal! Based on those U17 results alone, Bryan Scales should be fired!! They are just going through the motions over there and holding our kids hostage!!

Keep in mind, 2 losses overlap from last year in the GA Cup. Just a mess all around. Scales is squarely the one to blame here.
