I agree. We write big checks and my kid plays. She's not very good but we like the kids on her ecnl team. Coaches are ok. She gets lots of time playing rondo with her friends when coach is on the phone. It's a fun place

It's not going to help FSA. And why don't they move up some of their own NPL players?

Just the other day a FSA dad claimed FSA is overlooking FSA NPL talent. Both CFC and FSA NPL teams are basement dwellers so one can safely assume there aren't many difference makers at either club

Meant to add that FSA better be careful bringing other NPL players. If they are not clearly better than FSA players, families - who are already sick and tired of it all - will have another reason to dislike and distrust the club.

That is a very good point. Why choose another mediocre kid for a mediocre kid already in your program paying top dollar?

It won't sit well, that's for sure. Whoever they bring in better be a starter/clearly better. However, that is very unlikely.

hey, that's what FSA does. One bonehead decision after one another. That's what you get with no upper management that has any idea what's going on in the trenches

I've seen it happen 3 times on 1 team and the kids they brought up from NPL did their job. One ended up starting by the end of the year. The two others did what they were assigned. You need to ask the parents if they bump in price was worth it (NPL and ECNL is different)? Some parents don't want the travel commitments that the ECNL players have, BUT parents will complain that they didn't get a chance... Parents need to realize that their kid may not be ECNL material for many different reasons. BUT blame the coaches and club is what they always come back with! Parents suck at times.

CFC U17 NPL won their league if you wanted a heads up.

NPL league travel is pretty much the same as ECNL. Only difference is the national showcases that require flights. Believe me, most would give a nut to get their kid on an ECNL team, even at lousy FSA. If those kids aren't starter material FSA will have a lot of splainin' to do. Appearances matter.

That's their only decent NPL team. For whatever reason that age group has a lot of talent. But how many rising seniors would move to FSA for next year to get onto a very weak ECNL team? Chances are none. Both FSA and CFC's other NPL teams are NPL bottom feeders.
