Thorns don't need to win. Even when they lose 0-8 they win. Learning how to lose is a valuable life skill.

And if you think GDA was "elite level" then you know very little about "elite level" soccer.
Year #1 2016-17 of the Girls DA over 80 elite top US Club (ecnl) member clubs were promoted to the DA.

At that time it's true CU and FC became instant top 20 clubs in the leftover US Club (ecnl) due to this documented rapture or ascension to the top flight DA.

Spin all you want. Facts are facts.

The ECNL league will be a lot tougher than the watered down da league they played in prior years. Hopefully they get it together and aren't bad.

          Last year:

          1. ECNL
          2. OYSA - Premier
          3. OYSA - Tier Two
          4. GDA
          5. Rec leagues

GDA was good for girls who didn't make the high school soccer team so it's a good option.

Since when do leagues determine quality?
FC Portland was better before they went ECNL
CU aka THUSC got better with the re-branding and seperating from their rec+ program and their dead weight boys program.

These leagues mean very little. Club teams like GPS and TE 00 Salmon Creek teams showed you can get same results as playing in the ECNL while spending the same amount of money amd traveling to high exposure showcases.

                Better than what?
We are talking about mediocre Oregon girls HS aged club Soccer standard.

It's not like any of these clubs on the whole stopped being average or below average on a national level.

None of our clubs have never been competitive with any of the top clubs teams in No. Cal or So. Cal. When that happens you can at least could attempt to quantify 'better'.

Top Clubs across this nation aren't interested in traveling to Portland to play our sisters of the poor girls clubs.

We are top in the nation for Protests, lock downs & smoke.

Your kids team must be pretty bad.

Many, many girls teams from Oregon have competed with the top SoCal teams and even better against N.Cal teams.

Over the past four years Oregon has placed a lot of girls in very good D1 programs. We don't have the numbers of SoCal, but for the weather and the numbers Oregon does pretty good on the girls side.

Well, if the league has Timbers or Thorns anywhere in it's name it's be definition mediocre at best :)

Don’t the U15-U19 games start for PTTL soon? When will schedules be out?

Sounds like OHA guidelines will allow the league to start. OYSA website says games begin Oct 10th. Without the use of public school fields will there be enough fields available to run the modified league (Only 6 games) they are hoping for?

Wonderful teaching moment for the litany of no oversight community clubs that spent recklessly and carelessly on soccer bum staffs for the last decade---instead of giving back to membership b investing revenues (ROI) into the creation of field complexes that would allow them to play without issue or even a pandemic getting in their way.

OYSA has no fields to offer either.

                                Emperor has no clothes.

                                Covid Moment.

                                No fields, No games.

                                No matter what OHA mandates.
